Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 medium beet (rinsed, lightly peeled, and quartered)
- 1 medium apple (peeled, cored, and quartered)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (skin removed)
- 3 whole carrots (rinsed and peeled)
- Unfiltered apple juice (optional, about 1/4 cup for blending)
Instructions
- Blend the Ingredients: Place the beet, apple, ginger, and carrots into a blender. Add a splash of unfiltered apple juice (approximately 1/4 cup) to help the blending process. Blend on high until the mixture becomes smooth and uniform.
- Strain the Juice: Position a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl. Pour the blended mixture into the strainer carefully. Use a rubber spatula to press down the pulp, extracting as much juice as possible. Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes for maximum juice extraction.
- Serve and Store: Discard the leftover pulp. Pour the fresh juice into a serving glass. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and nutrients, or chill it in the refrigerator. The juice can be stored refrigerated for up to one day.
Notes
- Using unfiltered apple juice helps the blender process the ingredients more smoothly and adds natural sweetness.
- For a thicker juice, reduce or omit the apple juice, but blending may be more difficult.
- Consume the juice fresh to benefit most from the nutrients and vibrant flavors.
- The pulp can be composted or used in baking recipes to avoid waste.
