Ingredients
Crust Ingredients
- 450 g ground chicken
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Toppings
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 20 pepperoni slices
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper to prepare for baking the crust.
- Prepare Crust Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Form Crust: Transfer the chicken mixture to the prepared baking sheet or pizza pan. Press the mixture into a thin, even circle approximately 12 inches in diameter to form the crust base.
- Bake Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes until it becomes firm and lightly golden in color, indicating it is cooked through.
- Add Sauce: Remove the crust from the oven and evenly spread the pizza sauce over the top of the crust as the base layer for your pizza toppings.
- Add Cheese and Pepperoni: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then arrange the pepperoni slices on top to your liking.
- Bake Pizza: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the mozzarella cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Rest and Serve: Allow the pizza to rest for 3 to 5 minutes after baking to set. Slice and serve warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Using ground chicken as a crust makes this pizza gluten-free and high in protein.
- Make sure to press the crust mixture evenly to avoid uneven cooking.
- If you prefer a crispier crust, you can bake it a few minutes longer before adding the toppings.
- Feel free to customize toppings with vegetables or other meats as desired.
- Letting the pizza rest after baking helps the crust firm up and makes slicing easier.
