Instructions
- Prepare the Board and Dips: Start with a large serving board that ideally has raised edges to keep ingredients contained. Place small bowls on the board and fill them with vegetable dip and fruit dip. Also, place the wedge of Brie cheese or any other cheese you are using near the dips to anchor the layout.
- Add Large Items: Arrange the biggest items next, such as slices of watermelon and pineapple. Distribute them in different areas on the board to create visual balance and variety.
- Place Medium Items: Add medium-sized items next, including crackers, slices of snack bread like Pumpernickel, small cheese cubes, and folded salami slices. Incorporate other medium-sized fresh vegetables and fruits like cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and strawberries to add color and texture.
- Fill In with Small Items: Fill any gaps or ‘holes’ on the board with the smallest items such as blueberries, blackberries, cheese straws crackers, pretzels, cherry tomatoes, and mini chocolate mint patties. This helps to create a full and inviting presentation. Once arranged, cover the board for storage or serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a board with edges to prevent smaller items from falling off.
- Feel free to customize the fruits, cheeses, and meats based on preference or seasonal availability.
- Keep dips chilled until serving to maintain freshness.
- Add fresh herbs or edible flowers for an extra decorative touch.
- If storing, cover tightly with plastic wrap to preserve moisture and prevent drying out.
