These Cranberry Brie Bites are a perfect sweet and savory appetizer featuring creamy Brie cheese, tangy cranberry-orange marmalade, and a crunchy nut topping baked inside flaky crescent roll dough. Ready in under 30 minutes, they’re ideal for holiday gatherings or elegant parties.

  • Total Time: 28 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings (24 bites)

Ingredients

Dough

  • 8 ounce tube crescent roll dough
  • flour for rolling out the dough

Filling & Topping

  • 6 ounces Brie cheese
  • ¼ cup orange marmalade
  • ¼ cup whole cranberry sauce
  • ¼ cup chopped pistachios, pecans or walnuts
  • fresh rosemary or candied orange pieces for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 24-count mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Brie Cheese: Cut the Brie into small squares about 1 inch or slightly less. Place the cheese squares in the refrigerator to keep cool until ready to assemble.
  3. Mix Marmalade and Cranberry Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the orange marmalade and whole cranberry sauce thoroughly and set aside for easy topping later.
  4. Roll and Cut Dough: Lightly flour a clean flat surface such as a wooden cutting board. Roll out the crescent roll dough from the tube, stretching it slightly to form an even-sided rectangle. Pinch all seams together to seal and cut into 24 equal squares.
  5. Assemble Bites: Place each dough square into the prepared mini muffin cups, pressing gently to fit. Add one Brie square on top of each dough square, then spoon about one teaspoon of the orange-cranberry mixture over the Brie. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and add a small sprig of fresh rosemary or a piece of candied orange for garnish.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the bites to cool for 5 to 10 minutes in the pan before removing and serving warm.

Notes

  • Use cold Brie cheese to make cutting and assembling easier.
  • Feel free to substitute nuts according to preference or dietary needs.
  • These bites are best served warm but can be prepared ahead and reheated gently before serving.
  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free crescent roll dough if available.
