Ingredients
Chicken and Breading
- 2-3 chicken breasts (or chicken tenders)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Bang Bang Sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1-2 tbsp sriracha (adjust for spice level)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
Assembly
- Slider buns
- Lettuce
- Pickles
- Optional toppings of choice
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Slice the chicken breasts into smaller pieces that fit your slider buns. Season each piece generously with salt and pepper to enhance flavor.
- Bread the Chicken: Dredge each chicken piece first in the all-purpose flour, then dip into the beaten egg wash. Finally, coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs to ensure a crispy outer layer.
- Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken pieces for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them carefully and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Make the Bang Bang Sauce: While the chicken fries, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and rice vinegar in a small bowl until smooth and creamy. Adjust sriracha to suit your preferred spice level.
- Assemble the Sliders: Place a small piece of lettuce and a slice of pickle on the bottom half of each slider bun. Add a piece of crispy chicken, then drizzle generously with the Bang Bang sauce. Top with the other half of the bun, and serve immediately for best taste and texture.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the breaded chicken at 400°F for 15-20 minutes instead of frying.
- Adjust the amount of sriracha in the Bang Bang sauce to control the spice heat to your liking.
- Use chicken tenders for easier preparation and consistent size for sliders.
- Ensure oil is hot enough before frying to get a crispy crust without absorbing too much oil.
- Slider buns can be lightly toasted for added texture and flavor.
