Ingredients
Crescent Rolls
- 2 – 8 oz cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- 8 pieces mozzarella string cheese, halved across to make 2 short sticks
Garlic Herb Butter
- 6 Tbsp salted butter, melted
- 4-5 cloves garlic, grated or finely minced
- 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for baking.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with Italian seasoning, grated garlic, dried parsley, and dried basil. Mix well to integrate all the flavors.
- Assemble Crescent Rolls: Unroll the refrigerated crescent rolls and separate them into individual triangles. Brush each triangle with the garlic butter mixture, reserving some for later. Place a halved piece of mozzarella string cheese at the widest end of each triangle, then carefully roll up the dough around the cheese, tucking in the edges to seal the cheese inside.
- Brush Tops: Brush the tops of the assembled crescent rolls with the remaining garlic butter mixture to enhance flavor and ensure a golden finish.
- Bake Rolls: Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they turn lightly golden brown and puffed up.
Notes
- Make sure to seal the edges of the crescent dough well to prevent cheese from leaking out while baking.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving, as the cheese will be very hot.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan on top before baking.
- The recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings.
