Ingredients
Produce
- 7 gr fresh ginger root (1 inch size, peeled and cut into pieces)
- 7 gr turmeric root (1 inch size, peeled and cut into pieces)
- 2 mandarin oranges (peeled)
- 1/2 lemon (juiced)
Liquids
- 1/2 cup coconut water (plus extra to reach 1 cup total liquid)
- 2 tbsp honey
Other
- 2 tbsp gelatin (grass-fed)
Instructions
- Blend the Ingredients: Combine ginger, turmeric, mandarin oranges, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of coconut water into a blender.
- Puree and Strain: Blend the mixture until smooth, then strain it through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove pulp. Add more coconut water if needed to reach about 1 cup total liquid.
- Bloom the Gelatin: Pour 1/4 cup of the strained liquid into a small bowl and sprinkle the 2 tablespoons of gelatin over it. Let it sit for a few minutes to bloom and absorb the liquid.
- Sweeten and Warm: Pour the remaining strained liquid into a saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of honey, and heat on low. Stir constantly without letting it boil until warm.
- Incorporate Gelatin: Add the bloomed gelatin to the warmed liquid in the saucepan and stir vigorously until the gelatin dissolves completely and the mixture is smooth.
- Shape the Gummies: Pour the mixture into silicone gummy molds evenly.
- Chill to Set: Refrigerate the molds for about 1 hour or until the gummies are fully set.
- Store and Serve: Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Serve 4–6 gummies per serving for optimal benefits.
Notes
- The gummies are gluten-free but not vegan due to the use of grass-fed gelatin.
- You can adjust the sweetness by varying the honey amount.
- Be careful not to overheat the gelatin mixture to prevent losing its gelling properties.
- Make sure to strain well to get a smooth gummy texture without pulp.
- Store gummies refrigerated and consume within a week for best freshness.
