Ingredients
Slider Ingredients
- 12-pack rolls, halved lengthwise (I recommend Kings Hawaiian rolls)
- 5 oz salami, thinly sliced
- 5 oz pepperoni, thinly sliced
- 9 slices provolone cheese
- 1/3 cup pepperoncini, sliced
- 1/3 cup pickled hot cherry peppers, sliced
Butter Mixture
- 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed (fresh preferred)
Serving
- 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to get it ready for baking the sliders.
- Assemble the Sliders: Lay the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet or pan. Start layering with salami slices, then pepperoni, followed by provolone cheese slices. Add sliced hot cherry peppers and pepperoncini on top for a spicy kick. Finally, place the top half of the rolls over the assembled fillings.
- Prepare the Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine melted salted butter with Italian seasoning and crushed garlic. Stir well to infuse the flavors.
- Brush the Sliders: Generously brush the seasoned butter mixture over the tops of the assembled sliders, making sure to cover all nooks and crannies for full flavor.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the sliders with foil to keep them moist. Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and slice into individual sliders. Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping to enhance the flavor experience.
Notes
- Fresh garlic is preferred over jarred for the best flavor.
- Using Kings Hawaiian rolls adds a sweet contrast to the spicy meats and peppers.
- You can adjust the quantity of hot peppers to your heat preference.
- Covering the sliders with foil during baking ensures the cheese melts without over-browning the tops.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and taste.
