Ingredients
Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Dough & Topping
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
- Cook Beef Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef thoroughly until it is fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease from the skillet to keep the filling from being oily.
- Season and Mix Cheese: Season the cooked beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until the mixture is well combined and creamy. Remove from heat.
- Prepare Biscuit Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits individually. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into a round circle wide enough to hold the filling.
- Assemble Bombs: Spoon a generous amount of the beef and cheese filling into the center of each flattened biscuit dough circle.
- Seal the Dough: Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching and sealing tightly to fully encase the filling and prevent leakage during baking.
- Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and grated Parmesan cheese to make a flavorful topping.
- Brush the Bombs: Generously brush the tops of each sealed biscuit bomb with the garlic Parmesan butter mixture to add flavor and help them bake to a golden crust.
- Bake: Place the assembled bombs on the prepared baking sheet, spaced evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until they puff up and turn golden brown on top.
- Serve: Allow the bombs to cool slightly after baking, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve warm for the best taste.
Notes
- Use softened cream cheese to ensure it blends well with the beef and cheddar.
- Make sure to pinch the biscuit dough edges tightly to avoid filling spilling out while baking.
- These bombs can be made ahead and baked right before serving for convenience.
- For extra flavor, add some chopped onions or a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
- Serve with ketchup or mustard for dipping if desired.
