Ingredients
Flatbread Base
- 2 naan flatbreads
- Olive oil, for brushing
Toppings
- 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
- 2 medium pears, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1-2 tablespoons honey
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the flatbreads evenly and quickly.
- Prepare Flatbreads: Place the naan flatbreads on a large baking sheet. If needed, use two baking sheets to avoid overcrowding. Lightly brush the surface of each flatbread with olive oil to enhance crispness and flavor.
- Add Toppings: Evenly distribute the sliced brie cheese on top of the flatbreads. Follow with thinly sliced pears and sprinkle chopped fresh rosemary over all for a fragrant touch.
- Bake: Bake the assembled flatbreads in the preheated oven for 7-10 minutes, or until the brie has melted beautifully and the flatbread edges are golden and crisp.
- Finish and Season: Remove from the oven, then drizzle honey evenly over the flatbreads to add a natural sweetness. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Serve: Cut the flatbreads into portions and serve immediately while warm and melty for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Remove the rind from the brie for a creamier melt, or leave it on if preferred for added texture and flavor.
- Use firm but ripe pears like Bosc or Anjou for the best balance of sweetness and shape retention.
- Fresh rosemary can be substituted with thyme or sage for a different herbal profile.
- For a vegan version, substitute brie with a vegan cheese alternative and use agave syrup instead of honey.
- Brush the flatbread edges more generously with olive oil if you prefer a crispier crust.
