Ingredients
Chicken Wings
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split at joints
Teriyaki Sauce
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Wings: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the chicken wings in a single layer to ensure even cooking.
- Bake Initial Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to brown both sides evenly.
- Make Teriyaki Glaze: While the wings bake, combine pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper in a bowl, mixing well to create a flavorful glaze.
- Glaze and Finish Baking: Remove the wings from the oven and brush the teriyaki sauce generously over them. Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize and the wings to become sticky and flavorful.
- Serve: Serve the wings hot with extra teriyaki sauce on the side for dipping, making them perfect for sharing or your next party.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, you can broil them for 2-3 minutes after glazing but watch carefully to prevent burning.
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup or brown sugar if preferred.
- Adjust the amount of garlic and ginger to suit your taste.
- Ensure wings are cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F for food safety.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt content if desired.
