Delight in these festive Valentine’s Day Oreo M&M’s cookies, combining the classic crunch of Oreos with colorful M&M’s for a chewy, gooey treat. Perfectly soft in the center and lightly crisp on the edges, these cookies are easy to make and ideal for sharing at any celebration or just a sweet snack.

  • Total Time: 23 minutes
  • Yield: 10 cookies

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (slightly softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 & 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Add-ins

  • 2/3 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
  • 7 Oreo cookies (roughly chopped, regular stuffed, NOT double stuffed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat mat to prevent the cookies from sticking.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth using a spatula or mixer.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt to the wet ingredients. Stir gently just until combined to avoid overmixing the dough.
  5. Fold in M&M’s and Oreos: Carefully fold in the Valentine’s Day M&M’s and roughly chopped Oreo cookies to evenly distribute them throughout the dough.
  6. Portion Dough: Using a large cookie scooper (about 1/4 cup or 4 tablespoons), scoop out the dough into 10 even portions and place them spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake Cookies: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 13 minutes. They may look slightly underdone and gooey in the center, which ensures a soft, chewy texture once cooled.
  8. Shape Cookies: Immediately after removing from the oven, use a larger cookie cutter to gently nudge and round the cookies to a perfect shape while still warm and soft.
  9. Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not use double stuffed Oreos; regular Oreos offer the best texture balance.
  • Using a cookie scooper helps create evenly sized cookies that bake uniformly.
  • The cookies will seem underbaked when removed but will firm up as they cool, resulting in a soft and chewy center.
  • You can substitute Valentine’s Day M&M’s with regular M&M’s or any other chocolate candies of your choice.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
